ACKO is on the lookout for a talented UI Engineer with a solid design background to help evolve and revamp their design system. This is more than just a coding role – it’s about shaping how millions of users experience protection services in a fresh, tech-first way.

As part of the Technology - Engineering - Central - Dev team, you will collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to build reusable, scalable, and visually engaging UI components. You’ll ensure that ACKO’s design system remains consistent, modern, and aligned with user needs, while also being open to innovation and industry best practices.

Your work will directly influence how users interact with ACKO products – from seamless claim settlements to intuitive policy management – all while making sure every design element speaks the brand’s “Welcome Change” philosophy.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain a robust, scalable design system for consistent user experiences.
• Collaborate with designers and peer developers to ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Build reusable, high-quality components for multiple projects.
• Regularly review and refine the design system based on user feedback and industry trends.
• Document best practices for using and maintaining the design system.

Key Technical Skills:

React.js, Redux, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, Webpack, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, UI/UX Design Principles, Semantic HTML, Page Speed Optimization, Flutter (optional).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent from a reputed college.
• 4+ years of experience as a UI Engineer.
• Strong expertise in React.js and Redux.
• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern design principles.
• Experience with Webpack and modern front-end build pipelines.
• Familiarity with server-side rendering frameworks like Next.js (bonus).
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Interest in Flutter and cross-platform design systems (bonus).
• Awareness of performance optimization and page speed improvement techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
